8 Tips on Using Facebook for Business

I say this allot and I will say it again. Your Facebook page IS important. Here are 8 tips when using Facebook for business.

1. Create a Page not a Profile.

It is very important to create a Facebook Page and not a profile. Facebook profiles are for personal Facebook Accounts.

2. Profile Picture

Always try and use your logo. Make sure it fits neatly and looks professional.

3. Your Name

Use your company name as your page name. You want people to find you and recognise you.

4. Don't mix your personal account with your business page.

I see this often people post personal pictures and posts on the business page. There is a very fine line when this becomes unprofessional, best is to avoid crossing that line at all times.

5. Description for your cover picture.

Complete a nice full description of your product or services on your cover photo. It's always nice when someone goes to a page and know exactly what the page is about.

6. Complete your "About" section.

Just like your website, Facebook gives you a nice section where you can add all about your company.

7. Add a call-to-action button.

You can customise your button to say Contact Us, Sign Up, Send Message, Send Email, Call Now and so much more. Use this to your advantage.

8. Handle/Username

Usernames or handles are part of your page, which can help your i find you on Facebook. A username is the web address for your profile or Page (example: Facebook.com/yourname)

There it is 8 Tips on how to use Facebook for business. Remember keep it touch with your followers post on a regular basis and stay consistent.
